How much will it cost?

• That depends on the results of the study
• The bridge itself would cost in the region of £650,000
• Further work on footpaths, car parks, maintenance, marketing and management could mean that anywhere between £1.5 to £2 million could be the final cost.

Where will the money come from?

• Certainly not from Teesdale ratepayers! Grant money is available from many sources for economic development projects like this - money that will not be be spent in Teesdale unless somebody applies for it. Also, it will not be given at the expense of other local initiatives

How long will it last?

• As long as we want it to but we are presently budgeting for a 40 year life span
